For this companion painting to the Pocha Pond painting, I began with a pencil sketch made on location that I continued to work on back at our rental house. I completed the painting about a month later in my Port Chester studio using the Geneva paints limited palette working from the sketch and reference photos.

This is a signed original oil painting by Mark Laurence LaRiviere on canvas over wooden stretchers. The panel was coated with three layers of Gesso and sanded to a smooth surface.
