Using layer subtraction and negative inversion, I watched these familiar forms dissolve into something else entirely — a dense tangle of intersecting lines, buzzing with an energy the original objects never had. The chaos that emerged felt honest to what that year actually felt like: confined but wired, still but anything but calm.
